Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal information
Effective date: 30 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you buy and use Fonn, how we use it, and your rights over it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Douglas Graham, trading as Ingyn, Office 1, Technology House, 9 Newton Place, Glasgow G3 7PR, United Kingdom. Contact: support@tryfonn.com.
2. The plugin
Fonn processes your audio entirely on your Mac. Your recordings are never uploaded, and the plugin does not collect usage data or analytics.
3. Information we receive
When you buy Fonn, Lemon Squeezy shares with us your name, email address, country, order details and licence key. We never see your card details.
Lemon Squeezy is responsible for its own handling of your payment information, as described in its privacy policy.
If you email us, we keep your message and our replies so that we can help you.
4. How and why we use it
We use your information to deliver your purchase, manage your licence, provide support and process refunds. Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you.
We also keep business records where the law requires us to.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run Fonn: Lemon Squeezy (sales and licensing), Namecheap (email) and Railway (website hosting).
Some of these services process data outside the United Kingdom, under legal safeguards for international transfers.
We never sell your data.
6. Marketing
We will not send you marketing emails unless you have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
7. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires, usually around six years. Support emails are deleted when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@tryfonn.com.
If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
